Alexandra Templier

Alexandra Templier is a transdisciplinary vocal artist based in Montreal. Her artistic research mobilizes the tools of philosophy (Masters in contemporary metaphysics and poetics), singing (opera, flamenco, Hindustani classical singing, Carnatic vocal percussions, improvisation), theater and performance, to explore the question of resonance as a place of metaphysical knowledge without a god. She collaborates on a regular basis with flamenco and contemporary dancers/choreographers. Her work benefits from the support of MAI (Montreal Intercultural Arts), the Montreal Arts Council, the Quebec Council for Arts and Letters and the Canada Council for the Arts.
